Your Small Step Can Spark a Big Change

— A Call to Volunteers by Soham Seva Sansthan

At Soham Seva Sansthan, we truly believe that “no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Every time someone takes a step to help — whether it’s spending an hour teaching underprivileged children, distributing food, or simply listening to someone in pain — it plants the seed of change in a life that desperately needs hope.

But here’s the truth: we can’t do it alone.

We need YOU — the students, the professionals, the homemakers, the retired souls, and every passionate heart who wants to give back to society — to come forward and volunteer. Because even your smallest effort can bring about a massive shift in someone’s life.

Why Volunteers Matter

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Soham Seva Sansthan. They bring energy, ideas, compassion, and a personal touch that no amount of funding can replace. Whether you have one hour a week or want to engage more deeply, your time is a powerful resource.

Take the story of Megha, a college student who started volunteering at our weekend education camp in a nearby slum. She began by teaching English for just two hours every Sunday. Within months, not only did the children show improvement, but Megha also discovered a passion for teaching she never knew existed. Today, she’s pursuing her B.Ed. and aims to become a full-time teacher for underserved communities.

Just like Megha, you too can inspire, uplift, and transform lives — all by taking a small step.

How You Can Help

Whether you’re skilled in education, healthcare, communication, art, administration, or simply have the will to serve — we have a place for you. Here are some ways to get involved:

  • Teach or tutor underprivileged children

  • Organize community clean-ups

  • Distribute clothes, food, or hygiene kits

  • Conduct awareness sessions (health, hygiene, rights)

  • Help with social media & online fundraising

  • Offer counseling support for women and children

We also welcome remote volunteers who can contribute digitally, especially in writing, design, or fundraising.
